It's nice that many Japanese musicians spent few words to remember Taiji and his musical skill, but it's little bit disappointing that Japanese mass media didn't pick up this news at all.

Maybe because nowadays X Japan are not popular as at the end of '90, maybe because Taiji was not a "character" as hide (he didn't have a solo career, either)... of course he will not get any memorial museum, but still... it's quite disappointing.

I guess the funeral will be held privately, and I wonder if X members will even join it.

That is quite an interesting article. Maybe it's not 100% accurate in its facts, for example about hide's death or Taiji's autobiography (did he really leave because of the money?), but on the other side it has some valid points such as the "news" about Taiji's good condition after the suicide attempt, or his blog being deleted. But as I know it's accessible again, isn't it?

I'm still trying to not think about all of this...

Damn, I can't translate Sister MAYO's message (a picture) with my actual japanese knowledge, I hope that some japanese will translate it. At least I'm glad to see that she is still in the music world, I'll search around for her new Best of.

And yes, who don't know DTR shoud really listen to their songs, many of them are great.

Here is a quick summary of Sister MAYO's message:

She says thanks and apologises to everyone for all the trouble.
She and her mother were shocked at first with anger and sadness, but now have calmed down and made their peace. She met many friends of Taiji in Saipan, who showed her photos of him in which she saw a smile she hadn't seen for a long time, because of the hardness in Japan. It looked like he found his place in Saipan, like he was loved there. He was enthusiastic in Saipan, looking forward.
She would like to do some of the things Taiji wanted to do. She says thanks to staff in Japan, staff in Saipan, and to everyone who beleved in and supported Taiji. Taiji will keep living inside of her and everyone's heart.

I revived my Taiji cosplay at the show of my band on friday in memory of him. I'll be getting a buffalo skull tattooed too, as soon as I get more money and think of a place on my body where to put it. The guy was such an inspiration to me..

Is there any info about the autopsy or funeral?
