The Nuclear reactor thing is very frightening, radiation levels are 1000 times stronger than normal, and anyone within a 10km radius has been asked to evacuate, if something isn't done(reactor encased in concrete)before it blows, this could end up being another Chernobyl.

BBC Live coverage: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12307698And we must remember that in the first 20 or 40 hours informations would be confusing and omitted (like the nuclear protocols in japan, the evacuation is a normal procedure, is not as if the nuclear plant would explode) So lets wait and see... EDIT: This is the best live blogging Ive seen so far http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/03/11/live-...pan-earthquake/Thanks God I used to work on media classification so Im used to monitor media a lot so I can track lots of info!

The Chernobyl plant had a million problems. I don't think something like that is even supposed to be possible these days.

You'd think so wouldn't you? But the BBC have said this could be just as devestating. :( I sincerely hope they're wrong.

People, let's take a look at the whole picture:
The thing about the nuclear plant could end in a fatal explosion if certain amount of things fail with the cooling systems (I read on the washington post that the USA already sent some cooling to Japan, not because it will explode but as a prevention) when one deals with nuclear energy all security protocols must be done but that doesnt means that there will be a tragedy!

Indeed, with one cooling down and another having to leak just a little radiation with no damage to humans to relieve the pressure it seems they have them under control.
