Curious. Because all the bands does this.
Again, Golden Gods was held in Los Angeles... for me it would be odd if the other members took a 10 hours flight just to appear on a stage for 2 minutes... I guess they cannot be blamed for this.
Look at it another way: if an award event was held in Japan, do you think all the musicians all over the world would have joined it? Probably not.

X JAPAN is the only band that never appears anywhere but the concerts.
Well... concerts are the most important thing for a band, after all... honestly I don't mind so much about interviews or TV appearances.
QUOTE
They are 5 guys and a playback that see each other sometimes in an year (or not), play 6 songs then go each one to opposite sides.
But we've been knowing this since the reunion was announced... we could easily imagine that their reunion period wouldn't have been "intense" as their early years. They grew older, and now all of them have other side projects and bands to care about.

Everything else that involves the band is always Yoshiki. Since their return, they never appeared on a TV show, for example. They did two or three interviews in FIVE years, usually to announce some big concert. Awards, interviews, PV recordings, usually have only Yoshiki. Even on the X JAPAN site, there is not a link for "Like X JAPAN on Facebook", but there is on to like YOSHIKI on Facebook.
I've been following the band since 1997, and I'm really no surprised at all about all these things. This is the way X Japan has always been... you just have to get to know the band.

and in five years they made 3 medium songs and one crappy one (I really hate BTBF).
This is just a matter of taste. Somebody do like the new songs
