En otras palabras, este es un tema para darle seguimiento a las actualizaciones de nuestra desordenada página, High Music X Japan.

As many of you have noticed, X Boards is slowly being drowned with english. Actually it was kinda intended ever since the name of this website. Well, in short, I always wanted to make an english version of the website, but since the spanish version isn't finished yet, it's gonna be a slow, obsessive, anal, lubless road. The good news? You don't have to do anything, just check the updates here. This is the place where I'm gonna post the updates for High Music X Japan for both english and spanish. And, if I feel like it, I'll go greek on your ass, so watch out.

Now, actually you can help. Our X website started with the idea of being a simple collective, a place to have all available X info on the web (re)united. Then I started to type, investigate, translate, share stuff, then half of Wikis and a philipino site stole all my info, and that's more less the story of the page. Well, I want to make my message reach for more ears, so an english alternative for the website is starting. The spanish work is also continuing of course. But some sections will be more handy in english only, like the interviews section.

So you can help by posting actually useful comments, corrections, or info on this topic. I already know the site has great info and you want to congratulate all those who have collaborated while feeling sexual arousal, but avoid that. The updates will be added to this first post via the magical edit button, and your useful comments will go below it. Check this topic often for updates, since now I'll actually have a motivation to update.

Slightly edited the index page. Added buttons for the forums and this updates topic.




Currently working on...

- Visual Shock section: a writing of the aesthetic aspect of X and its evolution as time passes. As well as a subsection describing the history of Visual or "Visual Kei" as called nowadays. Also links to the forum X Japan gallery. Currently I have half of it in english and half in spanish.

- Interviews section: section to be in english only, since I don't like making a translation of a translation. I'm adding a ton of interviews that I've missed for quite some time. Also fixing format and gramatical errors for more comfy reading.

- History of X section: Completely rewriting this, since it seems every Wiki and their mom have used the current history section for them, which is already quite incomplete. Writing the history all over from 1979 till current day. It's gonna be dual language, but currently it's only half done in spanish. I took a lot of time to write the indies section, but thanks to the help of X Boards I've done it. The rest of the history should be easier to write.

Maybe it's handy to make a small list for yourself (and of course for others then automatically) of what you're working on at the moment and what issues you will be working on later. I know there is probably a ton of stuff to do, and I can go ahead and type all that stuff up, but I thought it would be nice if we can check in on a current item you're working on that we can all chip in on at the same time.

Instead of all of us talking about different things and different sections etc. For example; if you are working on the 'X Live' section, we could all post relevant replies on that section only - until it's fully updated. And at the same time we could look at a 'to do' list so we can see what things you'll be addressing later.

Maybe that way we can look ahead and and think about those things and help you a little better. Because right now I have no idea what section to look at or begin with and the whole idea of like.. beta-checking the entire site seems like a big task, a little too much hay on our pitch-forks, maybe. Well, just an idea.

Oh, and a question! These updates mean general fixes to sections as well as making an english version right? Or is it solely meant for the process of making an english version?

That's a great idea Mark.

Allright, what I'm doing at great aspects is basically rewrite and complete a ton of sections in spanish, as well as translate them to english.

Pan wants to make a whole redesign of the page, something more dynamic in php with a permanent menu and some sweet design, but while she takes care of that (I suck for that), I'm taking care of content.

I'll take your word and add to the first post a "Working on" list about the main things I'm working to update in short time range.
