X Boards Sharing Forums.
Updated at October 2010

Only registered users can see the sharing forums. Only active users will be able to access them. Spammers will be kicked out. When will you be considered "active"? Post a little and find out. You need to be a Cronopio, not a Nu wink.gif. Once you've gained access, please follow the rules in order to keep the place cool for all of us.

This is an easy 1-2-3 guide for properly using the X Boards sharing forums. If you read and follow this guide properly, you'll be able to participate in these boards properly. Please read in detail and use this guide before posting. Not following these steps will get you punished.

Before posting:

Step 1. Upload your files.
  1. Upload your files to the web, use a server of your choice, like Megaupload.
  2. Visit the Tutorials forum to find out tips, guides, and useful gadgets for uploading and whatnot.

Step 2. Pick your forum to post.
  1. X JAPAN Sharing forum for X and X-members related uploads. You might post here solo X members stuff, as well as things from X-members related bands, like Dementia or Saver Tiger.
  2. High Music Sharing forum for any other kind of music stuff.
  3. Finally, pick either Audio, Video, or ISO subforums according to the kind of files you uploaded.

Step 3. Read all the pinned topics.
  1. This includes the X JAPAN rules and the High Music rules.
  2. This includes all Pinned topics inside every subfurms.
  3. Seriously, fucking read these topics.
  4. SERIOUSLY, fucking read these topics.
  5. SERIOUSLY, FUCKING READ THESE TOPICS.
  6. SERIOUSLY, FUCKING READ THESE FUCKING TOPICS.

Step 4. Check for repeated topics.
  1. If you see a topic that has the album Vanishing Vision posted, or X with Orchestra posted, don't start a new thread for your file. Rather go to the existing thread, and post your upload there.
  2. Example: There's only going to be ONE thread in the entire forum for the Blue Blood album, no matter if it's an LP rip, CD rip, a re-release rip, 320 kbps, VBR V2, or whatever, it doesn't matter, it all goes in the same thread. Leave the rest to admins.

While posting:

Step 5. Make a properly formatted post topic title.
  1. After reading the rules topics you should know how to do this. Some correct format examples are:
    • [Album] (1994.06.01) D.T.R - Dirty Trashroad
    • [Single] (1991.10.25) X - Standing Sex
    • [VHS] (1989.03.16) X - THANX
    • [DVD] (2008.12.03) hide - ALIVE!

Step 6. Make a properly formatted post.
  1. After reading the rules topics you should know how to do this. Use BB code to format properly.
  2. It's highly recommended to use colors readable with a dark background, don't use ugly contrasts.
  3. It's highly recommended to copy/paste any post made by Pan to copy her formats. Quote any of her posts to get the BB code.

After posting:

Step 7. Report your topics to the downloads index.
The download index topics are made to make everyone's life easier, please collaborate with the following steps:
  1. After you make a post you have to visit the "Downloads Index / ?ndice de Descargas" topic of the subforum you just posted in.
  2. Make a new post in these threads, in the post you have to include a link to the topic you just created, as well as the title to that topic to make our lives easier.
  3. After reading your post, administrators will add your link to the downloads list, and delete your post.

Additional information:

ThanX.
The "ThanX" button below every post is made to thank the user for their upload. If you download something, be sure to give ThanX. This is a merely honorary detail, and it's still encouraged to have you post personally, specially if you have something to discuss, comments about the shared material, or just some nice words. The ThanX button is also used in regular forums to thank a user for an awesome post; again, this is only used to boost the user's prestige, so use it moderately and when it's worth.

Anti-leeching.
The forum is set to private for personal reasons, not as a leeching solution. Some users like to take personal actions against "leechers", like hiding a link only for actually active and sharing users, and not just for everyone who enters the forum. X Boards takes no part in this: it's the user decision to use their own anti-leeching methods if they feel like it. Anti-leeching is a user-related decision, not ours.

Dipshit alert.
Administrators are free to punish any inappropriate behavior by whichever criteria we feel like. This includes rude posting or ignoring this guide.
According to our criteria, we can neglect the access to any user (but if you're not a dipshit, don't worry about it). These are rules to have a good forum, so please follow them. We love sharing, so enjoy X Boards.

Comments, questions, or anything about this guide, please post on X Boards General.
